Second Best Ever Examination Results

Our students were celebrating on Tuesday 24 August 2010 when they got their GCSE results.

The results are the second best ever recorded by the school with 98% of students achieving A* - G.

The school has achieved 48% 5 A* - C’s, 35% includes English and Maths.

Students, parents, Governors and teachers were in school to celebrate on the day.

Headteacher John Banks commented:-

“We are all absolutely delighted for the students who have gained these excellent results. The students worked very hard to achieve these grades, and fully deserve the exciting futures ahead of them at College and University.

The success would not be possible without the motivation of our students, the hard work and commitment of the staff and governors as well as the support of our parents. The three-way partnership of pupils - parents – teachers is the key to Westleigh High School’s success story.

Our ‘Value Added’ have always been First Class. Westleigh High School prides itself in providing an excellent education for all of its pupils.”
